BMS Rowing Social Committee

BMS Rowing Social Committee is a group of like minded parents who try to promote rowing and to help bring BMS rowing families together.

We meet on the river banks during most rowing events to provide encouragment and support for all the BMS crews - and to provide some refreshments for rowers, supporters and coaches and a general meeting point for parents.

Throughout the year we organise various social and fund raising events again to bring rowers and their families together as well as doing our bit to help raise funds in a fun way. This is not a substitute to the schools funding but totally seperate. Rowing is an expensive sport, with equipment, race fees and transport etc , so we try to help in any way and have fun at the same time.

We also endeavour to provide practical and helpful information to parents on rowing and events as well as being a mutual support network for parents in the long hours spent on the river bank.

 The Official Opening of the New Boat House. A huge thank you to everyone who made this a very successful day. A fantastic start to the new year - may the support continue for the rest of the year.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Rowing Presentation Meal on the 25th June. The evening was a great success and rounded off a fantastic year of BMS Rowing.

The quiz night was held on the 16th May - it was a great success and involved many rowers from different squads, parents, and other Rowing Clubs along the river. It was a good night and one in which we hope to repeat next year. Thanks for all those who took part.
