At the top end of the boat club the senior squad is made up of the upper and lower sixth form rowers as well as some dedicated Yr. 11's. Coached mainly by Ali Brown, Doug Barrel and Chris Durrant

Rowing Profile

I have been competitively rowing since J14, where I started in the prestigious C boat. I struggled throughout the year to find myself a place in a good boat, making one or two star appearances in th B boat for the J14s (no medals won that year). In my J15 year I successfully put myself at 6 in the A 8; I progressed much in my J15 year, finally making it into the top J15 four, where we successfully claimed a few tankards at local races in the regatta season. I am now in my J16 year, my most eventful year so far. I have trained far harder this year than I previously thought possible and have already attended 3 GB trials this year, with relative success in my J16 pair with Alex 'The Man' Robertson. I currently row at stroke for the first 8 of the school - for me my greatest acheivement yet - and train hard with my fellow rowers under the watchful eyes of Ali Brown and Doug. We have down quite well this year and we're hoping to nail it for the regatta season. I love rowing.
